When can I request AC in my apartment?

Starting March 1, 2028. Each request takes effect 60 days after you make it.
- Requests openFrom March 1, 2028, a tenant can elect to put a covered room under the cooling rule.
- ConfirmationWithin 10 days the City confirms the request to you, tells the owner which rooms are covered and when, and explains how to file a complaint.
- Takes effectCoverage starts 60 days after the request. In a rent regulated apartment, it also waits for your consent to the work and any charges.
