ACRules is free. Right now it earns nothing. Here's how that will change, and what won't.
How we plan to earn
- Installer referralsSome pages may offer a phone number to reach installers. If you call, the installer or a referral network may pay us. You never pay us anything.
- Product linksSome links to air conditioners or heat pumps may be affiliate links. If you buy through one, the seller may pay us a commission. Your price stays the same.
- Deal alert emailsIf you sign up for deal alerts, those emails include product links that may pay us. Any email with a paid link or referral number labels it.
How paid links will be labeled
- Next to the linkAny paid link or referral number will say so right where it appears, in plain words.
- On this pageThis page will list every company that pays us.
What money never changes
- The rulesWhat the law requires comes from the law, and no one can pay to change how we explain it.
- The mathThe NYC size calculator uses the legal minimum of 20 BTU per square foot for every room, whatever unit you end up buying. The Houston sizing chart comes straight from ENERGY STAR.
- Both sidesTenants and owners get the same facts.
