Privacy policy
ACRules collects very little. Here is all of it, in plain language.

What we collect
- If you sign up for emailsYour email address, whether you picked tenant or owner, which lists you ticked, which page you signed up on, and the date. If you tick New cities, also the city you type.
- If you email usWhatever you include in your message.
- The room calculator, checkers, and ZIP code boxRun in your browser. The room sizes, answers, and ZIP codes you enter never leave your device.
- What we don't collectThere are no accounts, no ads, and no payment details. ACRules itself sets no cookies.
How we use it
- Only the lists you tickEach list is a separate choice, and we only send you the ones you picked. The New York City lists are deadline reminders, incentive alerts, rule changes, cooling season, owner planner, and deal alerts. The Houston list is Houston updates. New cities is for any city. Each one is described on the signup form.
- NYC deadline remindersTwo emails: one before tenant requests open on March 1, 2028, and one before the June 1, 2030 deadline.
- Houston updatesA reminder before the December 17, 2026 deadline, and an email if Houston changes its AC rule.
- Deal alertsThese emails include paid links, labeled as such. See how we make money.
- RepliesWe use what you email us to answer you.
- Never soldWe don't sell your information or share it with anyone for their own marketing.
Services that handle data for us
Any website shares some technical details, like your IP address and browser type, with the servers that send you its pages and images.
- BrevoStores the email lists and sends the emails. Brevo may record whether those emails are opened or their links clicked, and may estimate your general location from that. Brevo's privacy policy
- CloudflareHosts the site and forwards email sent to [email protected]. Cloudflare may set cookies it needs for security. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits, which Cloudflare says works without cookies or fingerprinting. Cloudflare's privacy policy

- Our email providerReceives the messages you send to [email protected].
Your choices
- UnsubscribeEvery email we send has an unsubscribe link.
- See, change, or deleteEmail [email protected] to see what we have, correct it, or have it deleted.
- How long we keep itUntil you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it.
- Do Not TrackWe don't track you across other websites, so a Do Not Track signal from your browser doesn't change anything here.
- ChildrenACRules isn't meant for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information.
